Some salient and possibly important facts for you, the esteemed reader of this inter-tron based journal. I'm (as of writing) 18 years, 11 months and 17 days old, I've been an undergraduate at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences for under 72 hours, and I'm a convinced anarchist - that bit's important, it's my raison d'etre. I'm also bisexual (and my preferred fetish is bondage), so anyone who's terrified of getting homosexual disease should probably switch their monitors off now. I'm 5 foot 10 inches tall, or 5' 11" if I want to intimidate people (6' in my combat boots).
I wargame, I fence (foil), I shoot (every now and then, and only at bits of paper - I'm not an American) using .22 target rifles and, many moons ago, the L98A1 5.56 Cadet GP Assault Rifle. I read - mostly science fiction, although if it's in English and I'm bored I'll read it anyway (anything in English I can't read's not worth reading, he says, modestly). Music wise, I'm a Mod. Well, according to a Mod Revivalist (Dave, ex-Mod, ex-Skinhead, now coaching girls' and boys' Ice Hockey teams) I'm a neo-Mod. That means bands like the Small Faces, the Jam, the Who, the Merton Parkas, Makin' Time... I also like Punk and Ska, especially The Regulars (www.theregulars.tk). Films, I'm not fussy, but ANYTHING with Scarlett Johannson in it will have me down to the cinema faster than you can say "Phwoar". War films are also good, although I prefer German ones ('Stalingrad', 'Das Boot', 'All Quiet On The Western Front') and the cerebral ones from the US (eg 'Apocalypse Now: Redux'). Obviously, I'm a fan of Star Wars III, IV and V, a Bond film is always good for a laugh, and I'll watch 'Swordfish' a lot too (Halle Berry, yummy). Otherwise, films are films - although horror is a no-no, I scare (much) too easily. '28 Days Later' had me cacking my pants, and 'Static' or whatever it was (the one about the dead talking via TV static) had me hiding in my then-girlfriend's shoulder.
As for my position on supertemporal omnipotent deities, well, although the jury's out, I'm an atheist when it comes to Jahweh, God and Allah. Pantheons are more up my street ("What do we want? A Mithratian Cult! When do we want it? Now!"). Philosophically speaking, I tend towards the existentialists, even though they spoke a load of rot at times.
For the terminally curious, I was born in Liverpool, so while I may not knife you to death and dance on your corpse (that's the Mancunians), and nor will I refuse to spend my money (the Yorkshiremen), I will nick your hubcaps. Since then I've lived in Perth in Scotland, Edinburgh, Oxford, Eton (yes, THE Eton, as in Eton College - I've got some tales, I can tell you), Warwick (arse end of nowhere) and now the centre of the planet, otherwise known as London.
My excuse for being here is to study Sociology for three years, hopefully get a first, then either walk into fame and fortune as the next Robert Fisk (except I can't speak Arabic, and I'm not half as brilliant as he is) or become an academic, doing a Masters and then a series of other degrees until I become internationally renowned in a highly specific field of one - me. Either way, so long as I can escape the insanity and drudgery of a 9-to-5 and the modern globally capitalist world (how it sucks, and in a bad way), while hopefully promoting anarchism, I'll be happy. And being happy is the aim of the game, isn't it?
Oh yes - probably the second most important thing about me. I'm anaphylactic. That, for the medically unsure, means I die when I ingest (eat or drink, fools) the following substances: Milk, eggs, nuts, wheat, or derivatives thereof. DEATH has been my constant companion since before I was born - indeed, I was born dead. The Grim Reaper's an old friend of mine, although I've not actually ever seen him/her/it. Which means I'm permanently sober, healthier than most (although not as physically fit as many), and have a highly developed taste for black humour (if proof is needed, 'Downfall' made me laugh). Oh, and I've got a much more paranoid outlook when it comes to personal safety... 'Safety First' is not something I ever ignore. Ever.
I'm not sure if that counts as a 'mini' anything, but it's smaller than most biographies, so it'll have to do.
